Deion Sanders has been told he must win with the Colorado Buffaloes in the NCAA otherwise his message and recruitment drive will mean nothing by a former-NFL linebacker.
Sanders initially seemed to creating a revolution in Boulder at the start of 2023 when the Buffaloes raced into a 3-0 record, however it quickly soured and they went 1-8 through to the end of the season as his son, Shedeur, was left exposed to sacks time and time again.

So for the 2024 Big 12 Conference season in college football, he's made a lot of noise about the talent brought in and the mentality, but Chad Brown warned it won't count for anything without results to back it up.
Brown, now aged 54, came through the Colorado Buffaloes' program on his way to the NFL where he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the overall 44th pick and in the second round, going on to forge a successful career.
"Coach Prime and a couple of Buffalo players, particularly, Shedeur Sanders, his kid, and Shiloh, the safety have talked," Brown told the Don't @ Me show. "They were at the Big 12 media days saying every team that plays us, it's like a Super Bowl for them.
"It's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. You know, you were 4-8 last year. You guys have made this aura around the program as if you have accomplished something. You've accomplished something from the eyeballs' perspective.
"You certainly grabbed the country's attention early last season when you guys had that 3-0 start, but then you finished 1-8 after that. So I think the expectation is at least here in Colorado. He's going to have to at least get to a bowl game.
"If he does not get to a bowl game. All this talk, all this conversation, all this hype, all this building, it's going to feel really, really hollow. Because ultimately, yeah, you've done everything except win football games."
Brown went on to have appearances with the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots and became a two-time First-team All-Pro in 1996 and 1998, as well as making three Pro Bowl appearances in the late 1990s.
He recorded 1091 tackles and 79 sacks through his career, as well as three touchdowns and 17 forced fumbles.
